Religion is often a factor in incorrectly identifying race, as in Jewish or Muslim-American. Geographical, or otherwise sociological misnomers like African-American and Mexican-American are also used to denote race. The most absurd example of this modern misnaming of races was in a recent documentary about 1920's and '30's Germany. In that film, Negroids living in Germany at that time were referred to as "German African-Americans."
Barack Obama is popularly proclaimed to be a Christian Negroid most influenced genetically and sociologically by the Caucasoid Christian woman who was his mother. At the time of Obama's conception and birth, she was Caucasoid, but she was not Christian or a woman. She was a teen-aged, college girl described by her mentors and peers as "a fellow travel(ing), first feminist liberal before we knew we were liberals." She had most probably been raised in a rudimentary practice of a middle class, middle American form of Christianity. She became a personally proclaimed, espousing atheist and popularly described as agnostic or multi-religious. She was a wide-eyed, well-schooled American Caucasoid of attractiveness and ambition, coming of age at the beginning of her future at a time of the Coming of Camelot and the beginning of a new future for America and the world. She was attending a liberal arts state campus, where such progressiveness was exalted and exhorted. Beyond those answers of actuality, questions of uncertainty arise. Was she "trashy" or "a whore"? Or more politely, was she a healthy, hedonistic, curious Caucasoid girl who just wanted the experience of a Negroid? Was she making a political statement by being the Caucasoid girl with the only Negroid on campus? Was she spiting a father who named her Stanley? Other questions arise. Did Stanley Ann and Barack Sr. get married? If so, exactly when in 1960, since that seems to be the most specific date given for the marriage? Was Barack Senior committing bigamy?...and later, polygamy? Was any wedding a 'shotgun wedding'? Which family was more vehemently opposed to this union, and this probably accidental, probable pregnancy?
All of that is basically crap and doesn't really matter. That which matters only slightly more is that, regardless of his genetics, Obama is a Negroid because he is visually, therefore, emotionally and intellectually perceived as a Negroid. That which really matters is not visually perceivable. Therefore, there is no universal, emotion and/or intellectual perception of his religion. There are varied individuals of influence in his life. His atheist/agnostic/multi-cultural mother was prime. His politically active Muslim father and grand-father were undoubtedly influential, if only indirectly. His Muslim step-father likely held great sway in the development of Obama through those formative, elementary school years. Antagonists report that his father and grand-father were prominent, politically active and powerful, practicing Muslims. They contend that his step-father was also devout and devoted and purposely placed Obama in a Wahabbi school. Apologists retort that none of the three paternal figures were devout, practicing, or even Muslims. They say that his school in Jakarta was just a general education public school, educating children of varied faiths.
Upon moving back to Hawaii to be raised by his maternal grand-parents, and to attend privileged private school in the country of the greatest opportunities, where even a 'baseborn, little black boy' can grow up to be anything he wanted, including Law Review President at Harvard and President of the United States, as I'm sure his shamed, but proud, mid-western grand-mother told him time and again.
Other important influences were Frank Davis, a Negroid Communist Party USA activist and 'intellectual' along with assorted socialist professors. And, of course, for the past twenty or so years, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright is purported by Obama himself to have been a huge influence. It is no doubt that the good racist Reverend Wright was and is very influential for Obama. However, it is an easy presumption that influence and advice have been more of a political nature than a religious one. It is not a blind leap of faith to suppose that Obama specifically chose to associate himself with that particular Church of Christ, not so much for the ministry, but for the political connections.
As with most things about Obama, we may never know the whole truth or story. But, for this writer, it raises this one, pointed question: "Barry, what can you show me and/or tell me that will eliminate the reasonable doubt in my mind that you are perhaps the ultimate sleeper cell?" I don't care that your middle name is Hussein. Barack, derived from Baraka is plenty Arabic and Muslim all by itself for my American interpretation.
